RULES & FORMAT

TFCL Pickup Game Guidelines

GENERAL RULES

  • All players must be signed in via Steam before joining a lobby.
  • Cheating, hacking, or exploiting bugs will result in a permanent ban.
  • Toxic behavior, slurs, or harassment will result in a ban.
  • Match results must be reported by the lobby host within 30 minutes of match end.
  • Disputes should be submitted to the TFCL Discord for admin review.

SIXES FORMAT (6v6)

  • 12 players total: 6 per team (RED and BLU).
  • Recommended class composition: 2 Scout, 2 Soldier, 1 Demoman, 1 Medic.
  • Maps are played to 5 captures/rounds, or time limit if applicable.
  • Standard whitelist: no stock-replacing unlocks, no random crits by default.
  • Rollouts and standard 6s meta encouraged.

HIGHLANDER FORMAT (9v9)

  • 18 players total: 9 per team (one of each class).
  • Each team must have exactly 1 of each of the 9 classes.
  • No class restrictions — all classes are played.
  • Maps are chosen from the HL competitive map pool.
  • All standard unlocks permitted unless explicitly banned.

ELO SYSTEM

  • All players start at 1000 ELO.
  • Winning a match grants +25 ELO; losing costs -20 ELO.
  • Minimum ELO floor is 100.
  • Leaderboard resets may occur at the start of new seasons.
